What you get
Nothing gets lost
Every message is kept byte for byte. The invoice, the ticket, the contract: you get exactly what the sender sent.
Attachments, at last
One command, one folder: the message page, its embedded images and all its attachments, sorted and ready to use.
Send, attachments included
Reply or write from the terminal, with the files you need, from your own address.
Built for scripts and agents
Structured, stable output that works from any terminal: an assistant can read and handle your mail with nothing else to install.
No tracking pixels
Remote images are only downloaded when you ask. Nobody learns that you opened their message.
Your secrets stay with you
Passwords and sign-in tokens live in your system's credential vault, never in a plain file, never with us.
All your mailboxes
Vaguemestre talks directly to your provider's servers. For Gmail and Microsoft, you sign in on your account's official page: your password never goes through the tool.
Gmail
Personal accounts and Google Workspace.
Outlook and Hotmail
Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live and Microsoft 365.
Any other mailbox
At your host or your organisation, as long as it offers IMAP and SMTP.
Your mail never goes through us
Vaguemestre installs on your computer and works there on its own. No server of ours receives, stores or relays your messages or your credentials, and the tool sends no usage statistics.
Frequently asked questions
Do my messages go through your servers?
No. Vaguemestre connects straight to your email provider from your computer. We have no server that ever sees your mail.
Which mailboxes can I use?
Gmail, Outlook.com, Hotmail and Microsoft 365, plus any mailbox that offers IMAP and SMTP. You can set up several.
Where are my passwords kept?
In your system's credential vault: Credential Manager on Windows, the Keychain on macOS, the Secret Service on Linux. The configuration file holds no secrets.
Which systems does it run on?
Windows, macOS and Linux. Vaguemestre is a single program with nothing else to install. It is coming soon.
